My Take On Religion

I have been trying to avoid this particular topic for a long time now. But today I would like to speak a few words on it. Religion, governments, communities are all man made organizations instilled within mankind for peace and its own well being. However, due to unsolicited ambitions of certain people the entire organization gets thrown into chaos. Every human being is born free and as a human being in its most basic form. No human being comes with any kind of mark or symbol or any kind of marker which signifies that it belongs to a certain religion. We take it for ourselves that since its my off spring it should follow my religion. There is nothing wrong in it. Our genetic code and will to survive itself make us do that. But one must remember that the child that is born has no religion, its we who give it to him. And above all its for him to decide whether to accept it at all or not.

Certain or most of the religions these days are trying to make people "convert" to their religion. As per our fundamental and most basic rights a human being is free to follow any religion of his choice. If he doesn't wish to follow any religion it is totally his choice. Religion is created by man to bond together people and not create fights between two people. All this while I have seen that pretty much all the religions ask their followers to donate this or that. Pray a certain deity or go to a particular place or they and the people who follow them know what not. Accept it we all live on this "beautiful" planet called the Earth. All this while we have been here on this planet. We have been born here and hopefully unless there is an alien invasion we are gonna die here too. What have we done to protect it? What have we done to conserve its resources? Let alone the future generations, what have we even done for the current or the present generations? So far none of the religions have "preached" on the conservation of the planet. Why? Is it the work of just the scientists alone to tell people about the conservation of our planet? We all stay on planet earth don't we. Isn't it our moral duty to conserve our planet.

Most of the religions preach that we are the gifts of God. In the real sense we are the gifts of earth. We all were born here itself, using the resources that earth gave us the resources that our parents gave us. Our survival itself relies on the conditions that the earth gives us. And the conditions on our earth all depend on our actions themselves. We waste so much electricity and resources on petty conflicts. We all are aware about it, aren't we? But still we do it. We are aware about the malpractices that happen in our communities and religions. What have we done to stop them? The funniest thing I have seen that people take their personal, business and n number of problems to the so called fakir's baba's and other godmen. And they also follow their instructions. What's funny that none of them ever tell the people to put in a little more hardwork in what they are doing or try it a bit more harder. With hardwork anything can be achieved, the problem is we don't work hard. We give up easily on stuff. Almost every successful person have had to work hard to become what he/she is. Nothing is easy. Nothing is hard either. Whatever the problems are, are our own problems, we ourselves have created them. And its on us that we have to solve them.

Looking at what religions are supposed to do, a lot of habits we have are bad for us. A lot of wrong doing is happening in the society. Daily we have reports in papers regarding rapes, sexual assaults, murders, robberies, drug trafficking, terror attacks and the rest. Religions, governments and possibly all social organizations are instilled within us to guide humanity  to a better and brighter future and make the world worth living and not a living hell. Its not just the duty of the police and governments duty to stop these unethical, immoral and heinous acts but of religions and of individuals too.

Conclusion: Try to be a better citizen, religion is not a bad thing its the people who seem to control it make it that way, work hard and play hard and do your bit to save the earth. :)

Thank you for reading this post. I may be wrong in some things. Above all I have no intentions of defaming, hurting, harming someone or anyone with this post. These are just my views and beliefs for a better world. Once again thank you. Peace...
